Check out new up and coming Manchester UK band COLLIBUS. There's quite a big metal scene in Manchester and they are generating a lot of interest.

It is not my band - I'm a big fan and have adopted Collibus as a nickname. Seen them live loads of times and they sound every bit as good as their recordings.

I'd recommend listening to all the tracks, all original, varied and musical - not just your usual thrash. Vocals are fantastic and the guitar riffs are outstanding by a guy called Ste, he is on YouTube under the pseudonym Arvobravo

Try out miss may i...it seems like trivium goes for a more classy metal type sound most of the time, but the two have similarities in that there are brutal rhythms and riffs, but segments of melodic singing...the past few weeks ive been getting into miss may i more, and they're awesome...one song suggestion would be forgive and forget...its fucking amazing. keep rocking fuckers. 8D

I say you should look at Chimaira, Machine Head, Lamb Of God & Arch Enemy.

well everybody forgot to mention SANCTITY and their only album so far ROAD TO BLOODSHED, it was produced by jason suecof who worked with trivium and mixed by colin richardson and they sound exactly like trivium.
