He means to double bass like Grant Collins, doing simple double bass isn't that difficult. Gunshot is one simple double bass riff in the beginning.
Watch the heel-toe solo that he linked in the first post.

Oh! Okay. I can double bass like that for a while. Although I feet would slip off the kick because I can't keep my feet in one place. I double bass when listening to Venom- Metal Black

QUOTE(TriviumXCore)Drummers talk about everything drum, right here..
Last night  Motorheads drummer, Mikkey did a drum solo. It was amazing.

Everyone was like "FUCK JOEY" when they heard Mikkey, it was amazing, he came over to where I was standing, and I touched his arm and got a hand ful of sweat. Niiiice.

Fuck Joey anyway...His solos are so overrated and only actual drummers can see why. OMG he can play the double bass pedal relatively fast and he hits random drums...AND OH WAIT! he's turning upsidedown, let's forgive his crap solo because of this and praise him.

Portnoys drum solos will always kill. And so will Neil Pearts. Peart is the only drummer who has attained god status.

Awwwww. I love Joey. He's awesome. But one to their own.

Gunshot is the easiest double-bass song Trivium ever made I believe...
As of now, I can play all of Trivium's songs on drums except for the beginning of Pillar Of Serpents (God, Travis has to have a hell of feeling on his feet to make those ultra-fast triols or whatever they're called)....

I can play Rain . . .
Doesn't mean diddly squat.
