Well, I'll start off the thread by asking if anyone has anything similar to this :
http://www.filelodge.com/files/room23/6232...0Version%29.mp3
That song's from the Advent Children OST, and I fucking love it. I'd appreciate if anyone could come up with a band that sounds similar to the drum and bass/techno parts of the song... 8)
And, down straight to tha actual topic, let the nerds of the forum comment on their likes/dislikes of the game, and general shit discussion. I, myself restarted FFVII yet again yesterday, and I'm into the obsession all over again.

Thanks some of that may just come in helpful, though Im suprised it doesnt say that you can avoid 'sporefall' by running away as far as possible.

Ok Illnino straight from the strategy guide
Level: 27
HP: 71,692
Steal: Succulent Fruit, Feystone, Emperor Scale
Boss: Elder Wyrm
QUOTEThe boss and his two Teant accomplices are weak against wind. As both minions can be a nuisance, take care of them immediately with Aero or a Quickening chain followed by the most powerful Concurrence you can achieve. The Elder Wyrm regularly inflicts status ailments such as Blind, Confuse and Petrify, so be be prepared to remove these effects immeditately; you could also establish suitable gambits to automate this process (for example assigning Smelling Salts to Ally: status: Confuse). This boss's most dangerious attack is Sporefall, which inflicts Oil, Poison, Sap and Confuse. You should immediately remove Oil with a handerkerchief before the monster has time to launch its fireball attack. Haste will cure Close, and esuna should take care of the remaining ailments. Meanwhile, maintain a steady onslaught of physical attacks wo wear down the monster. You can also try to inflict the Silence status ailment, thought it may take a few attmempts before it penetrates your adversory's defences. Once again, Larsa does a first-rate job of heading everyone, so keep him healthy!
And yea there is an alternate route so you dont have to kill him, but I cbf typing it out and you said you wanted to kill him anyway so yea...

So anyway, any tips for beating this Elder wyrm.
I know theres a way to avoid the fight all together but Id rather get it done.

I've never played any FF's before lol. But I absolutely loved Chrono Cross to bits though! Probably the best game I've ever played. (I've yet to play Chrono Trigger though, which some people think was even better than Cross) Which FF do you guys recommend I try, 7?
Also.... Chrono series vs Final Fantasy?

I got FFXII the day it came out with that limitde edition guide that cost $50 AU. Havent really played it though been out alot and playing guitar most of the time but it is sick, the battles are more strategic you need to plan your gambits before you plan a fight so its all good. And for those who have been playing it and have opened every chest, you just missed the best weapon in the game so lol at you

Cant stand IX, just so slow and horrible, one of the aspects I loved from 8&7 was that there was technology, the places were realistic(in an FF kind of way), whenevre I think of FFXI I just think, you've gt flying boats along side medieval castles.
Im always on the the look out for orchastations, one track I just cant find is the prelude of FF7(orchastrated, I have the midi), can anyone help with this, was it ever played.

Of course MGS also rocks my socks, my two favourite series.
