Well, it really depends, youre just laid back.
I know some people who have run into Natives and just been slandered for being white, or beaten for being white. That's without calling them "Indian", so calling them "Indian" probably would have gotten them killed.

That's just what the white people from Europe and elsewhere decided to call them I guess.

Well i'll tell you we never learnt anything about Indians (native americans? I think it was Blow that taught me the word Indian is racist) at school. only your cliche Teepee stuff. ...but instead we got the Aboriginal education. that was pretty cool.
