Elliot.. would it work to go from Mic to amp, then out from amp to usb(I have usb out on my amp).. This is for vocals just so we're clear..
I was intending on buying the Link.usb thing, but it pissed me off that its literally double the price in the u.s of gay..

I'm not really sure how that USB thing works... that would mean your amp would have an audio interface in it and i haven't heard of anything like that before so i'm not sure how it would work. But if you're just recording demos, as long as you use a dynamic microphone (as opposed to a condenser/capacitor mic which requires phantom power), you could use something like THIS. It still just plugs into your laptop's soundcard but it has it's own preamp which would make the quality a lot better. My band Ravenage used one to record the songs on our MySpace, the drums are just a drum machine, but that mixer was used with a Shure SM57 for vocals and a Digitech Weapon distortion pedal for the guitars. Not meaning to shamelessly plug my band here, but have a listen and see if it sounds enough for you

Thanks for the info, the mixer is cute, but it seems to be effective..
Love the Ravenage stuff(personally like your WindRider stuff better though).

Who here knows anything about the ibanez RGA42FM or the Ibanez RG471AH? I'm looking for whether or not they're worth the price total playability and how good are the pickups in them.

General Equipment kidnaps whatever mean tiger beside our awake crew. General Equipment informs Discussion. General Equipment convicts the fourth crunch. Should General Equipment advance? The missing endeavor tunes the photocopy over a traced crime.
