QUOTE(Madden @ Apr 5 2009, 06:24 PM) Yeah, it sounds pretty decent, though obviously its missing a whole other layer with no vocals on there. For the most part though, good. My only real reservation was that the acoustic intro probbly could have lead into the main part of the song a little bit more fluently, but thats something that will come with time.
Yea I will work on the vocals when i get a chance, i think it sounds good also, i did that with my Digitech Hot Head, and my Randall amp, i got the RP250 yesterday so the next song will sounds more brutal.
Yea the clean part i gota put something on, though i havnt had any ideas of what
The whole song i made it myself except the bridge, which was randomly made by my other guitarist at the moment of the recording, but i think it sorta fits in, its the "mean" and "depressing" part of the whole song

We don't have that many people in our myspace, we just created it, but I'm the main member, i write all the music within it, and i do the vocals also, I'm going to do that sometime during next week if i can. So we only got me and the other guitarist, we are looking for a bassist and drummer. The drums and bass were done with Guitar Pro, so dont judge about the drums, just the oveall music
Not too bad man, I like it. I just sent you guys a friend request on myspace
How long have you been playing guitar?

Uh, really, I've been playing for about almost a year and a half, i never took guitar lessons, but i do read books on music theory, and, if you've read my bio, I play around 5-7 hours daily, and as far as equipment, i know good equipment (which i have ) and i know a lot about guitars. I just like to dedicate time to my guitar, thats what i love so, might as well make the best of it.
Oh and i accepted your request man, glad you liked it

Cool man, you're pretty good for playing a year and a half. Having been playing for almost 5 years myself, I think you're definitely further than I was at a year and a half. Then again I didn't start practicing daily until 2 years into playing and even since then it's only for like 1-2 hours a day due to a busy schedule, lol

I notice lately that when I jam along with stuff and record guitar tracks of my jams, a lot of my palm muted notes are sharper than what I'm playing along with despite being in perfect tune. I'm thinking this might be caused by using GHS Boomers Extra Light 9-42 gauge strings having semi-low tension in standard tuning.
If I were to switch to GHS Boomers Custom Light 9-46, do you guys think I would need to make a truss rod adjustment for that little of a gauge change?

Try it out without first. You'll be able to tell pretty much straight away if you do.
