Into the Mouth of The Barras We March!!!
February 18, 2010 1:22:44 PM UTC Post #1

Not much longer to go and I was just wanting to set up this post for two reasons.

1. A call to arms to all my fellow Glaswegians, raise your horns high and feel free to jump in and talk amongst yourself.

2. Change that damn flag for Glasgow and Inverness on the tour page! We're the The Saltire! Saint Andrew's Cross! Not that damn St George Cross (no offence to the English here). So if you could please change it as soon as possible I would be most grateful, thanks.

Also anyone else going to see Blaze next week at Ivory Blacks?

Any tips for parking? I've never drove through to here, usually secc or carling.

should be a very grand gig indeed!! did you enjoy Blaze? i saw him in Aberdeen, and he was awful! he was better last year.

aye change the flag, we're scots.
ok i found out that the meet n greet will probably be at 7.30 so get there nice and early to pick your passes up. The box office is inside weirdly enough i think. I'm nervous, i hate stairs and the barrowlands have a lot of stairs...scary dairy. Stairs give me the creeps but ill be fine. I'm gonna bring my mum with me to meet trivium hehe. This will be an education in trivium for her.

Ah the gig was great! Absolutely perfect, loved it all.
Slipped at one point in the pit and pulled off a pretty awesome powerslide
Quite annoyed at myself for the signing, wished i had been a bit more persistent with the staff. Got pictures with everyone except Nick because he was kind of in the corner and the stupid staff kept ushering us along. Nearly didn't get one with Corey either.

Awesome gig, I am now knackered after the gig tonight and Inverness last night! Worth it though! Trivium are a great live act and seem to get better every time! Can't wait for the new album and for the guys to come back next year!

it was different coz matt wasn't singing the screamy parts cleanly...hee hee. That's cool, why is that though?

What do you mean not singing them cleanly?
One of the people i was with said the sound wasn't too good but i thought it was actually pretty good, better than the academy anyway.

i mean the last trivium concert i went to they made a point of singing the old songs like pull harder cleanly, not the way they sing them on the album, i think coz matt kept on losing his voice...but this gig, their singing the old ones the way that they sound on the album. I think...
The sound was fine, i was at the back, you know the higher bit behind the sounddesk. Some people are picky about sound.

oh ye and why did they play dance music just before chimaira?

March 13, 2010 5:31:46 PM UTC Post #10

I think it is much better now that Matt has got his screaming voice back and is now screaming live rather then singing those parts, it never seemed the same before! I also like that he can share those vocals with Corey, and have Paolo doing the melody stuff.

Regarding the sound, I thought it was great although at times everything seemed a bit mushed up during the solos.

On the post above about the dance music before Chimaira, I think they were just testing out the sound on the laptop thingy that they had for their set, so that it worked. They did the same in Inverness on Thursday night, got the crowd going for about 10 seconds haha!
