does anybody know which maxon od he uses? is it the od-9 or the od-808? also does anybody know how i could get his tone out of one with my peavey 6505+? thanks

Man, play ur own sound and you can´t have exactly the same sound as Matt, cuz u need his fingers, his feeling for playing^^ So better look for ur own sound and practise

every guitar , every little detail that goes into all aspects of a rig, will have an effect on the sound/tone so dont bother trying, and USE the bio page on the main site..

You can NEVER HAVE THE EXACT SOUND AS SOMEBODY ELSE.
It is trully impossible because like the above poster said you need his fingers and his exact style of fretting and strumming. It's impossible.

People need to stop making threads that ask how to get the exact tone trivium has.
It's just not possible to get with any equipment. there are many factors that go into how a guitar sounds, as I've stated before, even going down as miniscule as the height of the frets, to the type of wood the guitar is made of.
for the record he uses the 808.
