I, like all of you, am anxious for their new album, but I'm definitely not tiring of Shogun yet and it will still be one of the top 5 albums in my listening repertoire by then, I'm sure. That said, I had the awesome pleasure of seeing them last night here in good ol' Albuquerque and the show ROCKED just like I knew that it would. In mentioning the new album, Matt did say that it would be the greatest Trivium album we have ever heard. All I can say to that is WOW!! If it is better than Shogun, WOW! \m/

man..I really want the new album to come out....if shetteringb the skies was an example of how the new album would sound like then I guess the new album will be a success.

I'm excited about and would like to hear the new album from Trivium. It's going to be really difficult to take it to "the next level" as they've achieved so much already and produced some absolutely huge albums. From Ascendancy right through to Shogun, each album has shown progression and almost completely different styles.

I say the length of the song isn't an issue if it's a good song. The title track from Shogun was very long but it was an epic!

yeaaaah but not all albums were great. For example , the crusade..I didnt like that much their style without screaming because I belive the SCREAAAAAAMIIIIIIING is extremely relevant in a trivium song.its gives more intensity!!! XDD!

The Crusade was as much a Trivium album as the others were. In my opinion, it was more stripped down than it's predecessor, Ascendancy, and that was what threw people off. You still got the aggressive vocals and some screams in there along with classic Trivium licks. Like I said in a previous post, it's the diversity and accessibility of each album that make them successful. I know several people who absolute love The Crusade and then I know other people that absolutely love Ascendancy etc Everything is subjective in this context.
