ok so i've been trying to do pig squeals lately and i find it hard to do it...
i like the pig squeals that matt did on shogun (down from the sky,kirisute gomen,torn between...etc)
can anybody Tell Me How Can I do them?
i dont mean squeals like juliet massacre i'm not a big of fan of thier vocals but maybe if someone know their technique can help
I want to apply this kind of vocals in my songs...
maybe there's some people wondering about that too

You mean growling? Because Matt doesnt "pig squeal"
If you want to know what a pig squeal is listen to slam death metal or deathcore bands to get an idea of what they really are. The BREE BREE vocals. Also known as gutturals (people call them inhales although they can be done exhaled which is a better option tbh)
And the way to growl is, well it's hard to explain but power it from your chest and not your throat.

Why pig squeal, when you can just go full on black metal?

well i mean the kind of scream that matt did on down from the sky and bunch of other songs in shogun like this part for example from down from the sky:
"This battle's not the same
Which they have led us to believe
A synthesis of propaganda
Terror and deceit
We are the cattle
They the slaughter
Our meat: gasoline"
it's not like normal Growl where you have to center the air on a small hole and exhale,it's more like a raspy high note or something
i dont know how to explain it but it's definetly not like the growl that he did in"upon the shores" for example if you know what i mean....

I know what you mean. But I don't think he's squealing, just doing his normal scream except really low.
Although I too have thought whether hes doing those low squeals or not because they do sound similar. But I doubt it.

I do get what kind of scream you mean but tbh... I dont think it's wise to emulate. It sounds like a mix between throat and guttural.

IT sounds like Matt is making a throaty scream but guttoral. It's weird. The guttorals are in Upon the Shores for the most part.
