Screaming

I think the best thing that helped me honestly with screaming was to just work on it. What I mean by that is. When I first got into heavier music I remember I'd try and replicated what vocalists were doing. I remember I first heard Lamb of God. 11th Hour. And I was like "holy $h!t. how the hell is he doing that?" And I would just try and do it. That goes with any band I really got into. I do the same thing when I listen to Trivium. You pick up on nuances as you go.

The main thing I was getting at though. Buy The Zen of Screaming DVD. At first it may seem kind of confusing but it DEFINITELY helped me a lot. I got it in 2005 and my screams have only gotten stronger since then. Using your diaphragm opposed to all throat is definitely how it should be done. Otherwise you'll be blowing your voice out which is no fun. I did some of that before I got the hang of it. That's my advice If you've got any questions I can answer in more detail, let me know.

See, for me it's weird. I scream better live than anywhere else hahaha. I strain my throat in the studio more than I should then live it just flows out of me like nothing.

Hoping that you mean wise as in "wise" and not "wise" as in wise a$$ haha. Thank you Vilarika :)

I've actually got this question a lot from other people. I always send them to the same place
