=BreezeMan64 said:Went to the Skynyrd concert last night - apparently the last one before they head home for the holidays. It was my 3rd time seeing them, and by far the best performance. The setlist was a great mix of old songs, some I was very pleasantly surprised to hear them play. But what surprised me even more was that they did not play a single song from God & Guns! What gives? I mean, it's a great album full of terrific new material (bought 3 of them the day it was released), and they didn't promote it at all!

Here was the setlist:
Working for MCA
I Ain't The One
Saturday Night Special
What's Your Name
That Smell
Simple Man
Medley:
Whiskey Rock-A-Roller
Down South Jukin'
The Needle And The Spoon
Gimme Back My Bullets

Tuesday's Gone
Gimme Three Steps
Call Me The Breeze
Sweet Home Alabama
Freebird

Breezeman64
Salamanca show had the identical setlist. Was Robert Kearns playing bass last night?
I stated on a different thread that he was absent from the lineup Saturday night and that maybe the replacement bassist was not comfotable playing the new material.
With that said, the Salamanca show was still awesome!!!!!!!!
Absolutely blew me away!!!!!!!!!

Hey we were at the show last night 11/22/09 and I was surprised(disappointed) that they didn't play anything from God and Guns also. I was also disappointed that after paying $500.00 for 4 tickets and incidentals, and drove 2 hours each way, that we got the same old hour and a half show that I have seen 25 times over the past 15 years. Don't get me wrong I am a skynyrd fan to the bone but we were excited to see them play some new material and disappointed that they didn't follow through with the advertised God and Guns tour. I will point out that we did not recognize the bass player maybe he was a stand in and did not know the material.

I wish that they would stop playing the cookie cutter shows and put on some monsters. I have seen a lot of top acts and they all play for 2 1/2-3 hours and the fans walk away saying WOW but for some reason Skynyrd (my personal favorite) does not. Hopefully, next year will bring us new material LYVE

There is an explanation on another post. (It is the one about "sound issues".) It tells about having to use a replacement bass player for a few shows.

Ain't nothing sweeter than a Southern girl!
