Kind of sounds like Trivium is returning to their Ascendancy sound. Which is good news because Ascendancy is the best cd known to man-kind (fact). Nick did a rad job too.

Yeah it's definitely a kick ass song! If this is the direction of the new album then definitely can't complain.
Also nice to hear some blasting in there, pretty sexy:D

Now just to wait until they fix the problem with getting 'Slave New World'...

Lol wow I was thinking the same thing about going back to their Ascendancy sound. But after listening to Shattering about 5 times, I started listening to Kirisute Gomen and it sounded a bit similar to Shattering, but that's just my opinion anyways.

I would definitely not call "Shattering..." a return to their style on Ascendancy, which I'm happy about. Don't get me wrong, I love the album, but i prefer progression over repetition. If I want the Ascendancy sound, I listen to Ascendancy, haha. Anyway, this song has more harsh than clean vocals, but that's about where the similarity ends, this is far heavier than anything from that album.

It sounds very Ascendancy style to me, which is good just one complaint. Where are the thrash vocals absolutely none, still though kick ass song heavy as fuck.

Great work man!

Yeah, the thrashy vocals aren't in this song. But there were some of those on ascendancy so I doubt those will ever be left behind completely. STSA sounded like the perfect blend of Ascendancy and Shogun. Matt's at his best with his screams and the chorus sounded like something off Shogun. The verses had the style of Ascendancy with the heaviness of Shogun if that makes any sense. Overall, if this is the direction their going with their next album, no one will be disappointed.

Is the song no longer a Trivium World exclusive? People moan about not getting updates and stuff then when we do, people just take exclusive content and upload it on youtube despite us all paying for it. Why did i bothoring paying for Trivium World when i could just wait a little while for it to be put on youtube.

It has the shogun feel in LARGENESS. It is a big song sonically and has the Ascendancy feel in the musicship
