Song wishlist for upcoming headlining tour
September 16, 2009 1:58:08 AM UTC Post #1

Trivium hasn't done a full headlining US tour in ages. I skipped seeing them on mayhem and slipknot tour due to the short set but the upcoming headlining tour should be killer. They can finally play a long set and they have a huge catalog of songs to choose from. Let's tell them what we wanna hear at the show, i'll start it off with 5 songs i wanna see them play:
1.Of Prometheus And The Crucifix
2.Shogun
3.Upon The Shores (this is a shogun outtake, excellent song)
4.And Sadness Will Sear
5.The Deceived

A good mix of old and new stuff. I wanna hear a couple tracks off ETI that they haven't played yet.

Yeah definitely some ETI stuff... I wanna see "When All Light Dies" since they've been playing it live recently and that's one of my favorites off of ETI. "Pillars of Serpents" would be cool too. As for newer stuff I reeeeeeally wanna see "Torn Between Scylla and Chariybdis" and "Like Callisto to a Star in Heaven"

As far as stuff goes that they don't usually play live. I'll choose one from each album.
Pillars of Serpents
Departure
Contempt Breeds Contamination
Torn Between Scylla and Charybdis or Of Prometheus and the Crucifix (both awesome tracks)
But anyone know how they're going to play the intro to TBSAC? I heard that they had to do something to record it for the album but i can't quite remember the specifics.

No idea how they would play that track live, prehaps they would have to altar the intro slightly? I don't know.
I hope they play it one day though, Torn Between Scylla and Chariybdis is probably my favourite off Shogun!

On TW one of the guys said that for sure that Torn Between Scylla and Chariybdis is gonna be on the headlining set.

They'd play it like that? xP
I "think" the intro had a main part and 2 harmonies, the 3rd harmony was done with a "human capo", so I doubt it would be to hard to play. ;p

They'll probably just skip the third part like they did in the video. The human capo one. They have to cut one due to only having 2 guitarists so why not have it be the one that can't be done.
And I want to hear Of Promethus, Gunshot to start being played live again (they've been cutting in out of recent sets), This World Can't Tear Us Apart, To The Rats and Falling to Grey.

This world can't tear us apart is a great song. I'm surprised they didn't release it as a single with a video. it's one of the few trivium songs with a chance at mainstream radio airplay.
