Southern California Thrash

Location: Cheshire, CT Posts: 1405 Member #: 10,329 Joined: 09/01/2009	If you haven't noticed, Southern California along with a few other places (Brazil, Mexico, etc) are booming with surprisingly great thrash metal. Fortunately they're shooting for an old school, but mix in just enough modern influence. Here are some of my favorite bands from the scene. Witchaven http://www.myspace.com/witchaven Songs : Black Thrash Assault and Skinned Alive These guys just released their 2nd demo about a week ago, it's very promising. Merciless Death http://www.myspace.com/mercilessdeath Songs : Ready To Kill and Exumer. The video of them covering Slaughter is also awesome. Warbringer http://www.myspace.com/warbringer Songs : Total War and Beneath The Waves Fueled By Fire http://www.myspace.com/fueledbyfire Songs: Thrash is Back and Put To Death Get listening!

Evile has, in my opinion, the most distinctive sound of the "new" thrash bands. Although their vocals sound like Araya as well. Obviously every thrash band, that doesn't have country vocals, sounds like Slayer. Fucking hell.

Don't forget the Undetected Sarcasm Warriors.
