It's fucking weird! What's even stranger is that it's now working perfectly I have no idea what that was all about. My brother couldn't get onto this website at all... ah well, at least it's working again (for now) hehe!

Glad it's all working for you now, anyway.

Hit it with a hammer. If it still doesn't work get a bigger hammer. Always works for me.

I really do need to invest in a big hammer for such occasions. If nothing else it will remind my computer who's boss.

QUOTE(Storm of Damnation @ Aug 29 2008, 08:12 PM) Every so often when I start up firefox, I find that all my bookmarks have gone and I just get the default google page as my homepage (even though I've set my homepage as the boards). This is happening with increasing frequency and is getting rather annoying as the only way I can seem to sort it out is to uninstall then re-install firefox. Is there an easier way of sorting it out, or making sure it doesn't happen?
I get that problem too. So I restore my bookmarks from the automatic backup file Firefox makes.

you can get this Addon for your firefox called Foxmarks. Synchronises your bookmarks so you can get them on any computer running firefox, anywhere in the world.

Oh, I've got foxmarks. When I try and restore my bookmarks from it though, it doesn't work. I've got my bookmarks backed up in countless places but when they go missing the only way to get them back really is to uninstall then reinstall firefox. It's a pain in the arse

Yeah, I'm sure there is... I hope there is anyway, it seems to be happening more and more often lately!

Which version of Firefox are you using? Because i don't think version 3 has been out long and it may have bugs, so try downgrading to the last stable version of Firefox 2?
