[Pinned] VIDEO PLAYING ISSUES
September 16, 2009 1:56:03 AM UTC Post #1

If you are having any problems or issues with playing any of the videos you have downloaded from here, people, triviumworld, yousendit, etc.. Please do the following before asking for help.. Start with Solution #1, if that does not work, continue on to solution #2.

SOLUTION #1:
----------------------------
Go to the following URL, this URL will download DivXPlay. DivXPlay adds the support for videos encoded in pretty much the only FREE encoding out there. A lot of videos are coded in this download and install the program: http://download.divx.com/divx/DivXPlay.exe
----------------------------

SOLUTION #2
----------------------------
If the above solution did not work, there is a chance the video was encoded in a different type then DivX. Now you now have two options.
* Download GSpot: This program allows you to load any video file into it, it will give you information on the video file, such as the codecs that you do not have that are required to view it correctly. you can download GSpot here: http://www.headbands.com/gspot/gspot221.exe
* Download the 'AceMegaCodecsPack': This is a pack that will install pretty much all the codecs that are used today, as well as GSpot, and a few other utitlies for a bit of editing and for viewing the videos correctly. You may end up installing some codecs that you don't need but I personally say this is your best bet as you are bound to not have any problems viewing any video that is CORRECTLY encoded. You can download the pack here: http://download.softpedia.com/software/mul...CEMCP603PRO.exe The pack install can be a bit confusion. When you are given the choice of WHAT to install, be sure to choose "Professional Edition" that way you will be sure to install everything that you need. Also, you do not NEED to run the Virus Check that is included in the setup.
----------------------------
If you have gone through both of these solutions and you are still having trouble, then you are more then welcome to PM me and I'll go through things with you and do my best to solve the problem as I do believe that everyone should be able to view these correctly as they are some great videos.
