[Pinned] What band and album are you really into these days?

people get so worked up over anything mildly affiliated with national socialism, it's quite comical. it's barely even used as a racist ideology anymore, but rather an opposition of bolshevik led communism

Yep, your damn right is more metal, suffering gives me a hard-on!

But the holocaust is SO much more metal than peace and love

QUOTE(ScottishAnarchist @ Apr 26 2007, 09:21 AM) *rolls eyes* and i suppose you're the wise man in these matters.
This situation doesn't call for one. All I did was state the obvious.
QUOTEwooo...folkish black metal, i vill check themm ooot...oh wait a moment...are they like nationalist socialist black metallers? you know those ones, the annoying turds with the tiny tiny brains which are entirely representative of their small dicks.
AFAIK, Taake aren't an NSBM band. Their singer just decided to act on a real dumbass notion.
QUOTE(Antheas @ Apr 26 2007, 11:31 AM) i don't think they're nazis, even though they got banned from Germany because of using the Nazi cross onstage. they've said that they only used it because of all the "negative energy" it represented. anyway, I dont think you shouldn't listen to it because of the band members personal beliefs, the music still kicks nuts. you just cant see the music trough the persons who make it. just look at Varg Vikernes (just an example). all the bad things he's done, the music is still what it is......which is butfucking good.
Ugh.. I think Burzum is the most overrated band ever. His guitar skills can be matched by a child, as can his drum skills. And his vocals sound like he's holding a small animal up to the mic, and torturing it. But, it gets chalked up to 'atmosphere', and accepted
Only in Black Metal, I swear..
However, I do think you make a good point. One band I like a lot, even though I don't particularly care for their agitprop, is Skrewdriver. The songs are well-written, the execution is well done, and the band possesses a certain sense of class which one wouldn't normally attribute to the scene they endorse. Even their more militant songs aren't the "kill a nigger, gas a jew" type of stuff one would expect from a band of that nature, but rather, they talk about streetfights with reds and anarchists, with an emphasis on honorable combat, which I think is a hell of a lot more classy than the aforementioned lyrics one would expect. Love them, hate them, they wrote some pretty badass songs in their time.
