Hey guys, it's been a while since i've posted on here, so apoligies if this is a repost but I did search this forum as best as I could and couldn't find any related posts on this topic.
So my brother pointed me to this Myspace page that he found out about because his friend apparently knows someone in Roadrunner, not sure how much of that is true but here you go.

So this is a spoof band with Matt Heafy allegedly singing, with a song called 'Head On Collision With A Rose Bush Catching Fire' ...lol
If this is really him I find it a bit odd that there are so few views and only 68 friends, so I don't actually know how many people actually know about it, who knows maybe its the direction of the new album
lol
Wasn't sure where to put this, but wanted to share it with you guys! Made me laugh
it's amazing what words kids make up when they can't understand what they're listening to, sounds foreign.

I've been a big fan of Trivium since the ember to inferno days, having seen them 4 times prior, and even at Download last year i was already looking forward for them to unleash some brutality on the main stage on saturday.
I can't fault the guitar playing at all, it's excellent, although the whammy bar action might be getting a bit overdone, but hey! its still good.
What really confused, then pretty much made me depressed is how the vocal change is trying to appeal to a mass audience, i know many of you out there will strain to find the benefits in it, but i already feel alienated. The one reason i fell in love with trivium's music was the sound. That sound is disappearing and its in danger off falling into mediocrity.
I know trivium are still great, and matts voice is still great even when clean, i just dont think its a good idea to change a winning formula when a band like trivium in my opinion is still in its infancy. 20 years down the line maybe that would be a good idea.
I know everyone thinks Corey should do the heavy vocals, but he cant handle all of them, and his voice sounds weak compared to Matts, and Paolos voice doesnt harmonise that well and sounds out of tune sometimes.
After seeing the Dying in your arms video i was kinda hoping the lack of heavy vocals was purely to make it radio friendly, now im worried thats what every song will be like in the future, hell! even my grandma will be saying she loves trivium soon.
Im not trying to diss trivium just trying to work out wtf is going on, i was just very disappointed in their performance on saturday, i guess im gonna have to live on memories and watch old videos for my heavy trivium fix, so i dnt wanna get flamed by fanboys about this thread, seeing as i am one myself, just trying to get this off my chest.
Maybe an official word from one of the lads wouldnt be such a bad thing either, unless there already is one.
