1. Ignition
A political song dealing with ideas of intolerance, and how our ignorance is destroying us. Also probably dealing with our issues abroad, like our conflict with Iraq in the middle east "Raise the guns, every self made suspicion".
2. Detonation
A continuation of ignition lyrically "burning is a fuse to destruction (ignition)", this songs is about that metaphorical bomb exploding. "and now the ground we called a home, is but a barren wasteland"
3. Entrance Of The Conflagration
This is a song about Andrea Yates, a woman who drowned her 5 children in her bathtub while her husband was at work. She called the police herself and when they arrived answered the door with no expression on her face, and lead the police upstairs to show them the corpses of her 5 children on her bed laying with their eyes open.

4. Anthem (We Are The Fire)
Basically, just a badass metal song. "determined to dominate everything" clearly a lyric about Trivium's insane motivation to dominate the world.
5. Unrepentant
Is a song about Nazir Ahmad who is a 40-year-old Pakistani man who killed his three daughters and his stepdaughter as his wife, Rehmat Bibi, watched. He killed them to protect his honor. His eldest daughter married against his will, and he thought the younger daughters would follow suit, so he killed them all.

6. And Sadness Will Sear
A song dedicated and about Matthew Shepard, a homosexual who was brutally beaten and tied to a fence because he was gay. He was left to die and was only discovered 18 hours later as a biker rode by. When he was first seen he was mistaken for a scarecrow.

7. Becoming The Dragon
The song title came from a book according to matt. The dragon in this song is clearly used as a metaphor for something larger. It follows the Coy fish on its journey to become a dragon. In Japanese tradition, a Coy fish who fights his way upstream and reaches the source, he will turn into a dragon "Transform from Koi into a beast, Dragon"
Probably a metaphor for triviums ascendancy from a coy to a dragon, much like ember to an inferno.
8. To The Rats
A song written to the haters "Break every bone in your face if you mess with my life". Pretty simple.
9. This World Can't Tear Us Apart
A "dying in your arms" type of song, except with a completely oposite meaning. Parts of the song are about when Matt lived a loveless life, going against what he believed in:
"A world of spreading disease
Legs up for infidelity"
The song was written to his girlfriend, the lyrics speak the meaning of this song.
10. Tread The Floods
Tread The Floods is about anxiety and stress building up. "Stress, breaking my back... pressure, mental attack." We've all experienced treading water and how tiring it is, treading a flood is clearly a reference to monumental stress and exhaustion.
11. Contempt Breeds Contamination
It is about a man named Amadou Diallo who was shot 19 times, with 41 shots fired. He was a muslim living in new york as a street vendor, he was ordered to stop outside his house by NYPD police, and due to his poor english speaking skills he pulled out his wallet to show the police who he was. An officer assumed he was drawing a gun, and he and his fellow officers opened fire.
"Racially singled out, he must have a gun
...how can this be the answer?
...the blood is on your hands, hands which were supposed to protect
this isnt justice this is corruption"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amadou_Diallo
12. The Rising
"So raise voices with me, and sing this song of unity"
"So raise your hands up with me, and hold this moment eternally"
Somewhat like anthem, not a really deep song, just a fun badass song.
13. The Crusade
[Instrumental]
Not saying this is all right, just basically what ive interpreted in each song. Criticism is welcome.
no I wont give it to you, but its a damn good song.
the chorus is quite catchy. discuss, if youve heard it
