Now that Vortex has been fired from Dimmu Borgir (stupid move, IMO) - the press release stated this:
Simen will meet his LAMENTED SOULS bandmates in mid-September to plan a new release and a few gigs in Norway. He is also planning to get together with the rest of ARCTURUS to discuss the group's future and a possible reunion.
That'd be badass. I hope they go back to the style they had in 'La Masquerade Infernale' - really eclectic, original and circusy.

TRACKLISTING:
01. Blood Oath
02. Dismal Dream
03. Pray For Forgiveness
04. Images Of Purgatory
05. Cataclysmic Purification

Im fucking pumped for this. Will probably be my AOTY. I have hugely high expectations. Psyched to see a re-recording of Marital Decimation too! Bring it on!
This is gonna be an awesome album.
For those unaware (shouldnt be many), Tymon (Guitarist in Cynic) has been working on Exivious for the past 10 years. Theyve released a few demo's, but are releasing their debut full length in May 2009. Fully instrumental.
Here's the latest Press Release:

Album number 1 to 10 will be sold through eBay auction starting May 1st and ending on May 10th. This first batch of albums will be bundled with 2 guitar
picks and a drum stick, all signed by the band.
A second song, Asurim, is available on the Exivious website and MySpace now! With Waves Of Thought being one of the catchy songs on the
album, the obscure fusion based Asurim will show another side of Exivious.
Exivious tracklisting:
1. Ripple Of A Tear
2. Time And Its Changes
3. Asurim
4. All That Surrounds pt1
5. Waves Of Thought
6. The Path
7. All That Surrounds pt2
8. Embrace The Unknown (feat. Paul Masvidal of Cynic)
9. An Elusive Need
I've got this pre-ordered, fully expecting it to be one of my favourites this year, along with Gnostic, Pestilence, Suffocation, Atheist (if its out in 09) etc
As most of you know by now - Pestilence are "re-uniting" to put together a new album. Im a bit dev that Van Drunen has been excluded, as many Pestilence fans probably are, but im still excited to hear a new album from those crazy dutch bastards!
Recording Lineup is as follows:
Patrick Mameli - Guitars/Vocals
Tony Choy (Atheist, Cynic) - Bass
Peter Wildoer (Darkane) - Drums
Resurrected late '80s/early '90s death metal outfit PESTILENCE will enter Hansen Studios in Ribe, Denmark mid-October to begin recording its new album, "Resurrection Macabre", for a 2009 release via Holland's Mascot Records. The band will record a total of 14 songs during the session — 11 new tracks and three classic PESTILENCE cuts as chosen by the fans.
To vote for your favorite PESTILENCE song for the band to re-record, visit www.pestilence.nl. The three tracks that receive the most votes will be re-recorded in the studio. Voting ends October 10, 2008.
Joining guitarist/vocalist Patrick Mameli in PESTILENCE's current recording lineup are Tony Choy (ATHEIST, CYNIC) on bass and Peter Wildoer (DARKANE, NON-HUMAN LEVEL) on drums. Patrick has previously described the band's new material as a modern fusion of "Testimony of the Ancients" (1991) and "Spheres" (1993), but even more technical and brutal.
There was also an interview I found with Patrick Mameli talking about it - ill post it once I refind it again. What are your thoughts on the reunion?
