QUOTE(Matt Demon @ Jul 23 2009, 11:40 PM) As a Killswitch/Trivium/As I Lay Dying/metalcore fan I can dig this. It's not an bad effort even if it is part of a "dying" style. But it does have room for improvement, especially if you do want to get your name out there.
But Im sure in time you guys will only get better. Personally, I think you need to experiment with more tempo changes then just the mid tempo range. I mean, GO FASTER lol But that's up to you guys.
And tell the vocalist to not be so "throaty" with his harsh vocals He'll damage them that way lol Use your diaphragm to push the scream. (Y)
I respect that you understand that any opinion, positive or negative is an opinion. I told someone their band was shite and they took it too personally. Very unprofessional behaviour on their part I think.
Thanks man, much appreciated! Vocal comments taken on board (i'm the vocalist/guitarist but shhh! haha) and we're also really experimenting with tempo changes in the new stuff, leaning towards more progressive timings. There's a small example of the in the track Your Freedom, My Burden with the tempo changes. That's the last song i wrote for the E.P and have expanding on it alot more since. Hopefully these suggestions can be ironed out on our next recording venture and then we'll go through the whole constructive critisicm ordeal again
Thanks again!
