Hey everyone,

Welcome back to the new and improved Trivium site, hope you like the new layout. I also hope you have been enjoying In Waves and stoked with what you have heard so far. There will probably be another song out in another few weeks, so we will make sure you get another fix or two before the album releases.

The video is complete, the top secret thing is complete, and we are getting ready for a shit load of press and all that goos stuff. Part of the press trip to the UK is that Birmingham show which is going to rock! I am always glad to fit in a show when we do these trips, because press is cool and all but playing shows is much better. I am not sure what our set is going to be, but we aren't going to get any practice before the press begins so we have to stick to pick out the songs we are most confident with when we jam that day. We will definitely do a few new tunes, and mix in as much old stuff as possible. FUN SHIT!

IT BEGINS!!!

I am gunna put all my updates on the new album and tours on this thread.

As for the new album, the January 16th start date looks to be shaping up to be the actual day we will break ground on the new album. The first week will be pre-production with Colin and his team at our warehouse. We will sort through the music we have and discuss ideas on how to capture what we have. Until I see their flights book I will be slightly skeptical, but I am pretty sure this will be the day we start.

On the touring front you should expect more news this month. Obviously because the date of the recording kept moving, so did our touring plans. Once we get the album underway and have an end in sight, then we will begin booking well into 2012. Also, Wacken is the only summer festival this summer and most likely will not be the only European show of 2011.

Just wanted to say thank you to all the TW members for helping make 2010 a great year for us. Although we didn't do a lot of touring in 2010, we did get to meet a lot of you in Australia, New Zealand and the UK. This is the first time we have spent more time working on an album then touring since I have joined the band. There are a lot of great things starting to line up in 2011 and once we begin the album we will start solidfying the rest of the year (more updates will be coming in January.) THANK YOU ALL!!

So I just wanted to announce on here that I have a new blog --> Your text to link here... and I invite you all to join if you would like.

I decided it was time I had my own space outside of the Trivium forum to share a lot of my randomness and things I find interesting. I have no set goal for what it will ultimately be, I just
want it to be an organic process. In my first post I made it a point to let people know that it
wouldn't be just another site talking about Trivium. There will be music, pics and videos I might make
for fun, or just suggestions about new bands or sites.

With Trivium World I tend to be a little more in depth and personal with the band activities and even
my own stuff. Hope you all enjoy it and check it often!
